In season, from July till October, you have the greatest chance to spot mola mola and manta rays. Furthermore, the walls and slopes covered with fantastic coral gardens.
Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida
Crystal Bay is a bay along the channel, in the shelter of the strongest currents. In the bay you will find a slope with beautiful coral blocks and huge table corals. Towards the canal we dive slowly along a steep slope with small corals to find the Mola mola. We need to monitor the strength of the current. If we are lucky we find a mola mola and we dive back towards the bay and the shallow coral gardens. Keep in mind the low water temperatures in the mola mola season the water temperature fluctuates between 17 and 23 degrees.
